Outdoor Stairwell Drain Cover and Filter - Drain Defender Prevents Clogs and Flooded Basements from Yard Waste

I love this product and it has helped but in my situation the drain is at the bottom of a stairwell on a ravine lot so the leaves pile on top of it and cover it. Snow and ice too. Also my drain is very close to the wall of stair so I can't center it. If this was the same idea and cone shaped it would help keep the leaves from piling on top of it. However it does help and gives me some peace of mind when I am not at the property. Would work well for other situations that are more basic.

This device was really a dream come true. I am an engineer and feel that this device was VERY well thought out. It is replacing several other solutions that failed to capture particulate as well as this one and has already survived its first few rainstorms.

I looked all over for a solution, but was surprised to find that there did not seem to be anything out there for this problem. The Drain Defender has changed all of that! It prevents my drain from becoming clogged and I no longer have to worry. No more late night ventures into the rain to clear it out. Installation could not have been easier...it just fits right on top of your existing drain cover. I would highly recommend this product to anyone experiencing flooding problems due to drain blockage.
