Green Drain Super Seal 2 inch

I wrote the first review on this 4 years ago. Like others, I suggested that it restricts water flow a little too much for use in the shower. I fixed the problem by placing it as deep as I could reach it in the drain pipe - about 4 inches down. I can still get it out & back in with a needle nose pliers. I've been using the same drain seal for 4 years now and it has worked flawlessly- I don't have any water pooling in the shower. About twice a year it starts to plug up and I'll pull it out to clean all the hair and soap scum off which is expected for this application.

I own an ice cream and frozen yogurt shop. As you can imagine, lots of melted sweets go down the drain as I am cleaning everything. Started to have a real problem with drain and fruit flys. Nothing was working. Then I discovered this product and decided to give it a try. WOW! The flys are almost gone and by the way so is the drain odor that used to come up from time to time. I highly recommend this product.

Our septic smell has bern resolved. When we take a shower water does build up like a lagoon until the gravity of the water opens the valve flaps.

Great product worked great

I used to have sewer gases leak out of my shower drain. This product works perfectly at keeping the gases out. Unfortunately it restricts the water flow just a little too much and the bottom of the shower very slowly begins to pool with water. If I shower for longer then 5 minutes it starts to leak out onto the floor. I'm aiming to change the shower head to reduce the water output.
